It’s been a few weeks that I have been dreaming and envisioning a simpler life.
You know, the one where we don’t rush or snap a ton of photos before we eat a meal? A life where our friends are few but they are tight. A life where time can almost stand still and you can hear the birds singing in the morning as you wake. A life where you’re not busy to make it to church or call a friend on the weekend.
A life where we make bread from scratch because we have time and love on our hands. A life where God is first and not Instagram. A life of quiet but of laughter and joy.
A life where we can pause and sip on some chai while we look out the window and smile quietly at the blue sky.
A life of friendship and love, good food and gatherings around the table. Where life isn’t about making more but giving everything.
A life where we create to fill this world with little more beauty. A life of freedom and grace. A life where our neighbours are our friends and we know the names of those working at our local grocery stores.
A life where we don’t worry too much about politics but trust the government to govern with truth and justice. Where our schools are safe and our kids can play freely in the streets.
A life where you work but come home to your family before the sun sets and have enough time to play with the kids before they go to bed. A life of cozy nights telling stories, reading books, playing games and praying for our families.
I have been dreaming of a simpler life these days. A quiet, undistracted and beautiful life.
