More Glorious Days Ahead

Every December, I pray and ask God for a ‘word’ for the new year. I’ve been doing this for a few years now and it always amazes me to see how that word carries through.

This year, my word was ‘a million little miracles’. We truly saw little miracles sprinkled throughout the year. Our sweetest and biggest miracle was our baby girl, of course.

Despite all the wonderful things God did for us this year, we had our ups and downs. But we continue to trust that God is working all things together for our good.

I’ve been praying for a word for 2026, and I believe that my word for next year is ‘Glory’. The glory of God refers to the greatness and splendour of God or God’s manifest presence. The Bible says that the whole earth is full of God’s glory!

“And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.””Isaiah‬ ‭6‬:‭3‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I’m excited to see God’s glory in greater measure in the coming days. I believe there is so much more of God that we haven’t yet seen.

The glory of God sprinkled in the everyday moments of life. Maybe, just maybe, we can see the splendour and might of God in the simple but small acts of kindness and community.

When we decide to visit our neighbours simply to say hello.

When we become more generous not only of our money but our time as well.

When we start serving at church.

When we decide to do everything slowly than rush through the day.

When we stop scrolling and create something once a week.

When we are kind to those who are not like us.

When we are quick to forgive, quick to listen and slow to speak.

When we pray more, trust more and believe for more even on hard days.

Jesus said that if we believe, we will see the glory of God (John 11:40). Let us not lose faith, instead, let us like Moses ask God to show us His glory as we step into the new year and wait in expectation for all what God will do.

Then Moses said, “Now show me your glory.” Exodus 33:18 NIV

Hope you have a beautiful new year! I would love to hear from you if this blog has blessed you this year in any way. God bless you and your family.

Lots of love,

Neeba
